About Sheryl
Hi, I am Sheryl, and I believe in a whole-body approach and understanding how our body functions to promote optimal health and enhanced mental wellness.
Previous types of jobs before pursuing the career of a registered dietitian and health coach: Line cook, Sous Chef, Private Catering, Adjunct Professor as a Basic Nutrition and Culinary Instructor.
For most of my adult life, I have put much effort into maintaining a healthy weight which has always been a challenge due to my love of cooking and eating food.
However, after years of working as a professional cook and dietitian and counseling others, my health led me to research and find the benefit of a functional nutrition approach. This approach gave me more energy and increased knowledge in managing my health and the health of my clients. In addition, because of the lifestyle that I now lead has made me want to help and share it with all of you. I know a lot about food and have a love of eating.
I have over 15 years of experience in the health industry, serving as a registered dietitian, well-being expert, motivator, group facilitator, and coach. In addition, I have a master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics and an undergraduate in nutrition from the University of St Joseph College. I am also a Certified Lifestyle Eating and Performance Therapist, which has provided me with advanced clinical training in managing adverse food reactions, emphasizing food sensitivities. I am also a certified practitioner in the low FODMAP diet from Monash University.
Today I continue to actively pursue training in mindfulness and continuing education in integrative and functional nutrition.
Outside of my professional experience, I have the blessing and joy of my son and two dogs. In addition, I love cooking, eating with family or friends, taking walks outside in nature, and engaging in consistent mindfulness and yoga practice.
I am genuinely inspired by anyone who trusts me to support their health journey. My hope for anyone interested in working with me is that together we will create meaningful lifestyle decisions toward your highest self.
